My Story
Why I started
Around the middle of my sophomore year, I had a conversation with my dad about how I could make a positive impact on the world. He told me about the challenges many students face in our home country of Nepal, where access to basic school supplies such as pencils, notebooks, and textbooks is limited in remote villages.
Curious to learn more, I conducted my own research and was shocked by how widespread the issue was. Inspired to help, I founded Supplies for Scholars, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds and providing educational supplies to underprivileged students in Nepal.
As a first-generation child of immigrant parents, I know firsthand what education can open up, and how much harder that path is without the right resources. That's the gap Supplies for Scholars exists to close. Whether you donate, volunteer, or simply share our mission with others, you can help these scholars reach their goals.
